So, if you want to avoid the crowds, visit there early in the morning or during winters. There are many bridges nearby that are built over rivers and are great places for photography and observation.

7. Bhalu Gaad Falls

This place cannot be included in any list of waterfalls near Delhi. Then, why am I putting it on my list? I had the wonderful opportunity to visit it in person. One of the few waterfalls in the region that has an entry fee (₹300 for a group of ten people) is Bhalu Gad, which means “abode of bears.”. There is an old pamphlet that you can use to haggle, but I didn’t find it very helpful. If you intend to hike to the place yourself, which I don’t recommend, you will come across a bridge that crosses a river below the hiking track. This will take you to a village in the valley below, so don’t cross. Instead, walk on the path parallel to the river.

You will have to climb rocks higher than you throughout the hike. The coach will give you step-by-step instructions; pay attention to what he says. This is a really quiet, green place, with no people around for kilometres. The plunge pool is open for you to use, but be careful as it is quite deep.

Located within the Glen Forest, this perennial waterfall rises to a height of around 300 feet. Since the water comes directly from the snow-clad Himalayas, it remains somewhat cool even in summer. After a trek of around a kilometer from Summer Hill, you can reach the location; the drive there is truly picturesque.

On the way to Triund, Bhagsu waterfalls are located at the foot of the Dhauladhar range, which is around 19000 feet high. It is incredibly famous due to the Bhagsunag temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which attracts a large number of devotees. From the temple, a quick but rewarding walk leads to the waterfalls, which are surrounded by greenery. The names of the temple and the waterfall allude to a story about a battle between the serpent god and the local king, Bhagsu.

Bundla Falls, which is about 328 feet high, is one of the tallest waterfalls near Delhi. It is a popular pilgrimage site, so you may find many sadhus sitting in meditation while you are here. You will be able to see the stones in the dipping pool as the water is very transparent. Since the waterfall is perennial, meaning it flows all year round, and since rain can cause landslides, you will want to visit here during the non-monsoon months.
